Short ,timed passes inside square
 
Learn to time passes, controlled reception of ball
 


Practice set-up: Set up a square using cones. On each side of the square, create files of players facing eachother.
The first player in 2 neighbour files have a ball. The players pass the ball to the file facing them, and run after the ball.

As the players run after the ball, they need to make sure they do not collide with the other ball / player from the neighbour file

Equipment: 2 balls, 4 cones

Progression: Restrictions such as one-touch passes, only allowed to use inside/outside of foot, only allowed to use left/right foot.

Step 1:

Step 2: First Player in one of the files passes the ball

Step 3: Timing the location of the first pass, the Player from the second file can pass his ball, so it does not crash into the ball / player moving across.

Step 4:  Both players run after the ball, making sure they do not bump into eachother.
The first players in the lines the ball is passed to, receive the ball, and stops it.

Step 5: The Players who received and stopped the ball, passes it, and runs after it, as in the first step of the drill.
Players who passed the ball, run to the back of the file.
