Run,Stop,Turn with ball

Players learn how to control, stop and turn with the ball.

Practice set-up:
Two files of players facing eachother stand 15-20 yds apart, and 1 yard to the side of eachother.
Each of the players have 1 ball. The first player in each of the lines dribble the ball to the centre.

The players must time their speed so that they reach the centre approx. at the same time.
When they meet eachother at the centre, they put their foot on their ball, so it stops.

The players then step aside, take over the other players ball, and dribble back to their originating file.
When both players reach their orginal line, the next 2 players in each line, continue the drill.

Equipment:
Four cones, balls

Progression:
The coach could arrange a set of oppositing files into a 'team'. The puropose is for 2 oppositing files ('teams'), to finish the drill a number of times, before the other 'teams' of files.
